1. In establishing general causation in a toxic tort case, one can rely on three broad classes of scientific evidence: (i) epidemiologal studies on human, (ii) animal experiments, and (iii) information on the molecular mode of action of the toxin. Explain the strenghts and drawbacks of each type of evidence, and then show how the strengths of one type of evidence help overcome deficiencies in other evidence. Your answer can either consist of an abstract discussion of the strengths and drawbacks, or can focus on the dioxin and cancer case study we discussed in class. (one or two paragraph answer)
